Device Compatibility

Most eSIM support issues come from device compatibility or carrier lock status. A quick check before purchase can prevent stress when you land.

iPhoneMany iPhone XS, XR, 11 and newer models support eSIM, depending on region and carrier restrictions.

Samsung GalaxyMany Galaxy S20 and newer flagship models support eSIM. Some regional variants may differ.

Google PixelMany Pixel 4 and newer devices support eSIM. Carrier and country variants can affect availability.

Other devicesSelected tablets and Android devices support eSIM. Always confirm before purchase.

Carrier-unlocked status matters

A locked phone may reject a travel eSIM even if the hardware supports eSIM. Contact your home carrier if you are not sure.

You need internet access to install an eSIM. Use home Wi-Fi, hotel Wi-Fi, school Wi-Fi, or another reliable connection.

Most travelers keep their regular SIM active for calls and texts, then set ACE Mobile as the mobile data line.

Some eSIM profiles cannot be reinstalled after deletion. Contact support before removing an installed eSIM.
